Health and criminal justice policy still in focus after WA election

As the Western Australian election results start to settle, the re-elected Labor government will continue with changes across the state, particularly in the health and criminal justice sectors. 

Raising the age of criminal responsibility in the state became a focal point for both major parties during their campaigns. 

This victory marks Labor’s third consecutive win in WA, so what are their plans to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable and marginalised people in the criminal justice system?

The Wire’s contributor from RTR FM Danae Gibson spoke with Curtin School of Population Health’s Professor Stuart Kinner on how this election could change health care and criminal justice policies within the state.
