Hear from the university students camping in solidarity with Gaza

It’s been nearly a month since students at the University of Sydney began their encampment protest, calling on their university to cut ties with Israel.

The protest was inspired by student encampments in the US, and they are joined by similar protests in a number of Australian universities.

Rain and cold is no match for the students, who are sleeping in tents on the university lawns and standing in solidarity with those in Gaza every day.

2SER Breakfast’s Jess O’Bryan reports live from the scene, chatting with protestors about their situation and motivations.

To learn more about the protest, you can check out the Students For Palestine Sydney Uni account on Instagram.
