Hearing loss triggered by disease and medication -research
As you get older people expect that their hearing may not be as good as it used to be. If you have been to many loud music concerts or worked in a very noisy workplace you would also find some hearing loss.
But it has been found that having contracted other diseases like COVID, Measles, Rubella, HIV can also trigger hearing loss. Heavy antibiotics, or radiotherapy and chemotherapy also show high incidences.
Addressing hearing issues in middle years can also improve chances of avoiding dementia.
