From Hell to Hell: A Refugee’s Story

Imagine fleeing from your country and your loved ones for fear of your life. You risk everything, get on a boat and travel to Australia, in hope of a better life. But when you get there, you are imprisoned in a detention centre. Shan-mugan-athan “Ravi” Naga-veeran suffered through this, but used writing and art to sustain himself through three years in the Nauru Detention Centre.
He has written a book, called “Hell to Hell: Poems from Nauru”, which is being launched tonight at Berkelouw books in Paddington at 6pm. He joined us this morning
