Hilma af Klint: Art Gallery of NSW
Swedish artist, Hilma af Klint’s remarkable body of abstract and mystical paintings from the early 1900s brings new perspectives to Modern Art as we know it.
Stored away and scarcely known for decades, the re-discovery of af Klint’s “secret paintings” has delighted audiences. The 2019 exhibition of her work at the Guggenheim Museum in New York broke attendance records.
This week on CARVE, Ellen spoke to curators of the exhibition, Sue Cramer and Nicholas Chambers.
