Holy Macaroni – The first legal Pastafarian wedding

Last week aboard a pirate ship in New Zealand a couple were married in the world’s first legally recognised Pastafarian wedding. What is that you may ask…

Pastafarians belong to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, which the New Zealand government approved to conduct legal marriages in 2015. The church was formed by rational thinkers who were tired of being disenfranchised and the religion is based on the belief that a god made from spaghetti and meatballs is just as likely as other gods.
