Housing Stoush on knife edge

The Federal government have been working to put forward a $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund, or HAFF. Just earlier today in parliament, a key concession to the policy proposal was made, with Federal Housing Minister, Julie Collins, offering to guarantee yearly spending in return for Senate crossbench support.

$500 million was guaranteed as a minimum per year to be spent on affordable and social housing all across Australia. However, the Greens continue to be in fierce opposition, with plans to vote against the bill calling the HAFF a gamble.
