How Botched Hollywoods Accents Control our View of History: A look at Gladiator II and Nosferatu

A poor English accent is not unheard of in Hollywood films although for historical period Pieces especially those set in Europe it seems commonplace for a poor posh English accent. Despite many historical films being set outside of England many of them still feature Hollywood’s signature botched English accent for example the Summer release, Nosferatu, with its entirely German setting featuring almost exclusively British accents.
