How can We Prosecute Environmental Destruction?

Last month scientists called upon governments to draft a new Geneva Convention dedicated to protecting the environment during armed conflict. However, environmental destruction is already recognised as a war crime by the International Criminal Court. Existing legal frameworks provide some protections for the environment but currently these frameworks are falling short. To discuss more we were joined by Dr Shireen Daft, Lecturer at Macquarie Law School and Deputy Director for the centre of environmental law.
