How does the Australian bush regenerate after a bushfire?

It’s been a relief to hear this week that in many places across the country, catastrophic bushfires are now mostly under control and the worst conditions have eased off. While the damage to bushland is extensive, the Australian landscape is pretty resilient. 

Rod Fensham, an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland and expert on bush regeneration, spoke to 2ser about how the bush can recover and regrow following fires.
