The most recent snap election in Germany saw the right wing party, Alternative For Germany or AFD, surge to second place.

One of the ways this was accomplished was through misinformation and disinformation about energy prices and the overall cost of living. 

From the dismantlement of Germany’s nuclear energy program to a controversial heat pump replacement initiative, there’s been no shortage of discussion regarding the country’s energy economy.
