How is Lismore a year on from the Floods?

Yesterday marked one year since the city of Lismore was hit by record-breaking floods that submerged the community under water. The Wilsons River, which flows through the township of Lismore, reached a level of 14.37 metres on the 28th of February 2022, far above what was predicted and the historic 12 meter floods of March 1974. Following a year on, residents are still trying to get their Resilient Homes packages, and the community is faced with a significant housing and homelessness crisis.

Eleanor Godley speaks with Harper Dalton, a social worker and South Lismore resident who established the Relocate Lismore Homes Facebook Group.
