How old are stars and galaxies?
How often do you go stargazing? Do you ever try to guess the age of the stars you’re looking at? Well us puny humans here on Earth no longer have to just guess, because a team of Australian astronomers in rural NSW have discovered a way to figure out exactly how old a galaxy is using a telescope. Tess had Professor Matthew Colless, the Director of Research at the School of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Australian National University on the show. Apparently, a star can have a mid-life crisis too!
