How Over And Under Working Can Hinder Your Wage Increasing
Ever had to stay back at work to finish deadlines your boss just gave to you? Seems like a lot of us have. The Australian Bureau of Statistics show that one in five spend more than 45 hours a week working, whilst 300,000 working more than 70 hours. Whether you’re overworking yourself, or you need more hours of work, it seems like both ends of the spectrum may be keeping us from wage increases. Conrad Liveris, University of Sydney’s labour force economist, joined The Daily to talk about the effects of over and under working is having on Australians and our wages.
