How Smoke Taint Is Affecting NSW Wineries

With dozens of wine regions scattered throughout our state, the New South Wales wine industry plays an important role in tourism, production and jobs. However for many wineries, the summer’s bushfire crisis has left prospects of a 2020 vintage in tatters. The effects of smoke taint on grapes are now becoming evident, with many winemakers forced to abandon this year’s harvest completely. We spoke with Bryan Martin – Writer and Winemaker at Ravensworth Winery in Murrumbateman to find out more.
