A week ago, out of the 57 finalists Julia Gutman was awarded the highly celebrated Archibald Prize for her portrait of Australian singer Montaigne.

Beth spoke to Joanna Mendelssohn from the University of Melbourne, to find out how the Archibald Prize has evolved and changed since its beginnings in 1921.
