How to get “lost” in your own city

How do you engage with the city you call home? Is it just a place you pass through to get to your required destination? Do you ever pause to reflect and take in your surroundings every once in a while?

You might be interested to know that there is actually a group of intellectuals from the 1960s who championed the idea of taking a step back from the spectacle in front of us. They spent most of their time protesting the idea that our cities are just a bunch of profit-motivated capitalistic superstructures. This group, known as the Situationist International, instead encouraged play and resistance as we walk through our cities.
