Hybrid Workplaces – the key to gender equality in the workplace?
It’s fair to say that last year was by no means easy for anyone, however COVID-19 has disproportionately affected women in the workforce more so than men. With more companies switching to hybrid workplaces i.e. working in both the office and from home, could this be the shift needed to help progress gender equality in the workforce?
Senior Lecturer in the School of Business from UNSW Canberra, Dr Sue Williamson, spoke to Drive Presenter Beth Tracey about what these structural changes, and changing attitudes to workplace environments, mean for gender equality in the workforce.
