Earlier this year, Australia was shocked when New South Wales’ Independent Commission for Corruption (ICAC), began an investigation into former charity boss and Australian of the Year finalist Eman Sharobeem for defrauding taxpayers of hundreds and thousands of dollars to purchase lavish personal items for herself and her family. ICAC’s enquiry into Eman Sharobeen was adjourned on Thursday and ABC Senior Court Reporter Jamelle Wells has been following the case closely.
