Imagine no Internet

Yesterday everyone freaked out when Telstra was down for half the day.. but imagine if you didn’t ever have internet.. or even access to books or libraries? For over a billion people in the world this is a very real situation.

In 2013 Mark Zuckerberg started an initiative to give people in India free access to the internet as a means to access one of the most valuable modern learning resources out there. It’s been met with resistance and has been stopped by people arguing that the access favours certain websites and violates the idea of net neutrality.
