Impact of Gambling on Domestic Violence
Most Australians have seen the pokies at their local pub. Many would walk past the vibrant lights and sounds, softly muted by glass doors with golden VIP letters on the front.
Although gambling occurs regularly and frequently at non-harmful levels. There are some severe cases that can be identified as a gambling problem. Following recent research by Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s health, that detailed the connection between gambling and domestic and family violence.
