Importance of the Inter-Korean Summit
Leaders from North and South Korea will meet for the first time since 2007 to discuss denuclearisation and a possible peace treaty. This historic moment will see Kim Jong Un walk across the border into South Korea for the first time ever. In the past talks have been held in the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ), and only once in 2000 the South Korean president flew to Pyongyang to talk with Kim Jong Un. 2SER was joined by Bronwen Dalton to discuss more on this.
