Improving Teacher Well-Being

Teaching remains one of the most challenging professions, with teachers expected at different times of the day, to be an inspirational performer, a counsellor, an administrator, a nurturer of young adults among the many roles.
With a national teacher shortage, a new study into teacher well-being is looking into the best strategies to maintain teaching staff. Stephen Hill asked University of NSW Scientia PhD student Andrew Kingsford-Smith the best ways of improving teacher well-being to prevent teachers leaving the profession.
