Income Inequality

We are the 99% as the cries go; income inequality amongst Western Nations has reached enormous proportions, with discontent amongst many young and working class people bubbling to the surface. Over in the United States, we see this coming to a head with a backlash against the political system with many voters turning their attention to outsider presidential candidates who seem to be offering a way out. But what about the situation here in Australia? Professor Fabrizio Carmignani, Head of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Griffith Business School, spoke to the daily about the scale of the problem.
