Inner West Council’s New Plans to Battle Food Waste
Last Tuesday, the Inner West Council publicly announced their plans to roll out a new recycling scheme to every household for the next four years. The Council will provide food organics and garden organics waste recycling to eliminate waste in residential garbage bins by 40 per cent. Food waste has a significant environmental impact and continues to be a major driver of climate change.
Daily host Oscar Byrne spoke to Labor Councillor Mat Howard for Marrickville-Midjuburi Ward to discuss the impact of the new proposal.
