The tree as a symbol for knowledge and life, connecting the heavens and the underworld is prevalent in various religious texts and philosophical treatises. In contemporary times, the tree is closely aligned with healthy cities and communities, providing shelter for various forms of earthlings, whilst soothing the hard edges of urban life.
