International Students Left Behind by COVID
Universities have taken a massive hit during this pandemic, but it is the students who are suffering the most. Yet it seems International students have been left in the dark and forgotten about the most. Many international students in private rental housing were struggling before COVID hit, now it seems their situation has worsened. With some unable to find another job or those who have managed to hold on now have their hours cut by 50% and support from their families has decreased as well. With government support still fairly low many students feel they have been left behind. 2SER was joined by Professor Alan Morris from the Institute of Public Policy and Governance, University of Technology Sydney.
