INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY FUTURE STARS – HEBAH ALI AND SUZY MONZER
Hebah is a writer and director based in Sydney, Australia, who is planting her roots in the film and television industry. In 2021 she wrote and directed her first short film ‘Angreeze’ which told the story of immigration and assimilation. During the lockdown in the same year, she directed her first music video for musician Chelsea Warner; ‘It be like that’ which has featured in Rolling Stone and on MTV. She is currently developing new projects with her friend and collaborator, Mohammad Awad. Suzy Monzer is in her final year of a combined journalism and law degree at UTS. She is currently the UTS Ethnocultural Officer and is President of Students For Humanity; a society that aims to mobilise students in action against injustice and raise awareness of human rights violations. She hosts Kampus Kulture, a podcast that explores all aspects of the university experience, and she aspires to be a documentary producer. For more find Suzy via her website
