Interview With An Artist – David Hinchliffe

Each Thursday at 11:45am we profile an Australian artist – be they a sculptor, painter, drawer, weaver, someone working in the creative sphere.

Brisbane based artist David Hinchliffe started painting when he was 12. That was in the 1960s in Queensland. Fast Forward to today and David is represented in galleries around the world including New York, Tokyo, London and Hong Kong. However it wasn’t a direct path to internationally represented artist. David spent 25 years working as a politician before moving to the canvas full time. From wine drinking bohemians, to fence painting, to politics, David Hinchliffe joined me from his Brisbane studio for today’s Interview With An Artist.
