The new Australian film Dirt Music officially opens in cinemas on October 8*.

Based on the acclaimed novel by Tim Winton, Dirt Music tells the story of two outsiders brought together by grief and family tragedy, set against the spectacular and rugged Western Australian coastline.

Dirt Music stars Kelly Macdonald, Garrett Hedlund and David Wenham.

The film is directed by Gregor Jordan, whose other work includes Two Hands, Ned Kelly and Buffalo Soldiers
