Invasive species causing extinction crisis
The State of the Environment report released last month paints a grim picture for the future of flora and fauna in Australia.
Invasive animals are actually the leading cause of this loss in biodiversity.
They also have contributed to high rates of extinction, this rapidly developing ecological tragedy that has seen mammal species decrease in abundance by 38% between 1995 and 2016.
