Is Your Birthplace Affecting Your Climb Up The Corporate Ladder?

What language do you speak at home? What is your religion? Are you male or female? Where were you born? According to new research published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources and reported in The Lighthouse all these factors could be a massive influence in how far up the corporate mountain you’re able to climb. Among other things one of the facts the researchers uncovered was that you have a better chance of being a CEO in Australia if you were born in USA, UK or Canada. We were joined by Professor Nick Parr, a professor from the department of Management Centre for Workforce Futures at Macquarie University and one of the researchers of the study to take a closer look at the research.
