The Associated Press has reported that Israel has ordered 1.1 million civilians living in the northern part of Gaza (almost half of the population), and hundreds of thousands of civilians living in Gaza City, to evacuate, ahead of a feared Israeli ground offensive.

Israel has also mobilized 360,000 reservists near Gaza and evacuated tens of thousands of residents, from nearby communities.

With 2,800 people already killed over the last week, the Israel and Gaza conflict looks like it is going to intensify over the coming days.
