Israel Folau and Rugby Australia

After three intense days of deliberations, an independent panel has found Israel Folau’s inflammatory social media posts targeting the LGBTQI community constituted a high-level breach of Rugby Australia’s Professional Players’ Code of Conduct. The panel will now determine what sanctions to impose on Folau, with a ‘high-level breach’ giving them the option to terminate his four year, $4 million contract.
