Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte Resigns

After a long series of political fighting within the Italian coalition government. A vote of no confidence was brought into the table by the head far right league party, and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini. This was the final straw for the independent PM Giuseppe Conte leading to his resignation only fourteen months after the last election. With Italy’s stock market crashing since the resignation, the future of the region has now been left in doubt both politically and fiscally.  2ser was joined by Dr Bruno Mascitelli of Swinburne University to shed some light on the situation.
