It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!

We’ve all heard the saying ‘it’s 5 o’clock somewhere’, when we are wanting a glass of wine late morning/noon time. It’s seen all over television, seeing ads based on males and their alcohol relationship. However the message for women is very different, as well as the fact they look at alcohol differently, for example if they are feeling isolated or lonely. While a lot of women want to change their drinking habits it’s a lot harder to do. We spoke to Dr Belinda Lunnay – Post-Doctoral Researcher in Public Health at Torrens University to discuss women’s relationship with alcohol.
