iWitnessed: Eyewitness Evidence Made Easy
Eyewitness evidence is often key to the investigation process, and is often an important of source of information within trials. However, research indicates that the accuracy of such evidence can be inaccurate or distorted due to the gap between witnessing and recording facts. A team of eyewitness memory experts have recently developed an app, to aid in the process of recalling eyewitness evidence. Joining us on the line to discuss was Helen Paterson, Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at the University of Sydney, one of the memory experts involved in this development.
