Was he based on a real spy?’ Lynette Silver tells the fascinating story of how she tracked down and met the spy whom she believes was the real-life inspiration for Fleming’s suave secret agent.

Lynette Silver’s main interest lies in investigating various aspects of Australian history.

She has written numerous history books, recognised as the absolute authority on the topic.

Lynette has received many honours for her work, including being made a Fellow of the Australian Institute of History and the Arts, a Defence Forces Commendation and Medal from Special Operations Command Australia for her work.
