Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods talks new record ‘UK Grim’ and returning to Sydney on New Fangled

Jason Williamson of electro-punk duo Sleaford Mods dropped by New Fangled via Zoom to talk to host Oscar Byrne about the groups return to Sydney for Vivid in June, three years after making their debut in the country.

Jason shed light on the groups new record UK Grim and its takedowns of shouty punk wannabe bands, incompetent governments and vacuous social media-obsessed individuals. Also touching on what it was like collaborating with Florence Shaw of Dry Cleaning and Perry Farrell of Janes Addiction on a couple of the records tracks.
