Jat Protests Stop the Flow of Water
Can you imagine if your entire city lost access to water? There would be pandemonium.. well this is exactly what happened in Delhi, home to 10 million people. Although a small amount of water has become available.. full service won’t be expected until tomorrow.
But it wasn’t any natural disaster that halted supply.. the Munak canal was damaged intentionally by protesters from the Jat community.
So just what was behind the protest that crippled the city? Mitch talked with are joined by Associate Professor David Lockwood from the School of History at Flinders University to discuss the matter.
