Joseph Tawadros: Oud Fella
Joseph Tawadros is a one of the world’s leading oud musicians and composers, with three ARIAs under his belt and even an OAM for services to music!
Having released 14 albums since the beginning of his career, he is always trying to look out for different sounds and new collaborations using traditional instruments. His most recent release — Live at Abbey Road — is the result of a single recording session earlier this year with his brother James.
Joseph had a chat to Nic about his contemporary take on traditional oud-playing, working with his brother and his very busy year so far. He is playing on Friday 4th August at the Casula Powerhouse, showcasing his immense talent.
