Julian Burnside on Australia’s refugee policy and film ‘Border Politics’

Australian barrister, human rights and refugee advocate, and receiver of the Order of Australia, Julian Burnside AO QC joined the Monday Daily to talk about his 2018 documentary ‘Border Politics’. The documentary features Burnside traveling from nation to nation as he explores the politics which form attitudes towards refugees and their policies surrounding people seeking refuge.

In the documentary directed by Judy Rymer, Burnside converses with experts from around the globe as well as civilians who have welcomed and supported refugees as they attempt to start new lives.

You can watch ‘Border Politics’ on the 6th and 7th of July at the Randwick Ritz at a series of screenings across the two dates.
