Fascinating considering that in the last fortnight, political donations have been the central story of Parliament in this country. From Sam Dastyari’s Chinese donations to Fairfax Media reporting that prominent firms linked to the ruling Communist Party have been headed for the West Australian Liberal Party. So what is this next assignment that Hartcher is referring to and what can a relationship with China say about an Australian taking on the Republican candidate for global politics’ most powerful seat?
