Junior Ranger Programs expanded for On-Country learning

Junior ranger activities will support more primary and secondary Indigenous students to stay in school and gain on country learning opportunities.

As many as 10 new Junior Ranger projects have been rolled out in each Australian jurisdiction as part of the Federal government’s $6 million program expansion.

Seven high school students have already been participating in the two-year program in the New South Wales town Queanbeyan, to obtain their certificate two in conversation and ecosystem management while completing their HSC.
