Kimberley Motley: the first US woman to practice law in Afghanistan

Working as a lawyer in many places around the world is a dangerous profession, whether that be in Pakistan, Russia, China or many other states where the ability to petition for just representation is severely curtailed. Recently in Australia as a guest of the Antidote festival of ideas Kimberley Motley, the first US woman to practice law in Afghanistan, talked to us about her decade-plus experience working as an advocate in Afghanistan.
