The Inter-Korean Summit

Over the weekend, Kim Jong-un and Moon Jae-in, the leaders of North and South Korea, met to discuss the North’s nuclear weapons program. The image of the two leaders shaking hands has been seen as a symbolic gesture of goodwill and peace in the Korean peninsula.

To help us understand how we got here and what the summit means for the Korean peninsula, The Daily’s Sam Baran was joined by Dr Justin Hastings, Associate Professor in International Relations and Comparative Politics at the University of Sydney.
