Sukhdeep Singh Bhogal, or better known by his stage name L-FRESH the Lion, is a Sikh-Punjabi MC and producer in the hip-hop space from Sydney’s South West! Using his music as a vehicle to share stories of justice, he’s carved out a niche for diasporic identity within the global hip-hop movement. He’s the creative director for a new project at Campbelltown Art Centre for 15-18 year olds called ‘Conscious NXT’, which gives young people the space to find their passion for music.

For those wanting to level up their skills, young people can apply for the Conscious NXT Academy – a creative, 10-session intensive program, running from 14 March – 5 June. Participants will gain behind-the-scenes insight – receiving mentorship and opportunities in songwriting, production, performance, marketing and business skills, paving the way for post-school pathways in the music industry.
