Lael Neale Becomes Acquainted with Imperfection
Lael Neale’s Acquainted With Night is out now on Sub Pop records. It’s a sunshine pop album thats tape hiss is a constant reminder of the 4 track recording process and letting go of her perfectionist tendancies.
Originally from rural Virginia, she wrote this album during her 10 years in LA. While much of the album was inspired by her childhood surrounds, she couldn’t foresee being ripped back to her country roots due to COVID.
She spoke with Alex on 2ser Breakfast and begins by explaining how big of an adjustment moving back in with her parents was.
