Land Titles Registry Privatisation Controversy
The NSW Government is planning to sell off its land titles registry institution in what is being called a “reckless” and “last minute” decision of the Berejiklian government. With housing affordability a constant crisis in this country – and especially in Sydney, the looming sell off of an institution which manages an individual’s greatest asset is perceived to be horrible news for all concerned. Despite these consumer concerns and the Law Council of Australia calling for the sell off to be repealed, Berejiklian is going ahead! Joining us on the line to discuss the sell-off and what it could mean for you is Dallas Rogers, Senior Lecturer from the Faculty of Architecture at USYD.
