Last Refugee Children Off Nauru

Last Wednesday, the last four of two thousand children living on the government-run offshore detention center on Nauru Island were resettled to the US with their families.

With 1200 refugees agreed to be resettled by the US from Manus and Nauru in 2016, so far only 500 have been resettled. We speak with Paul Power, the CEO of the Refugee Council Australia to gain a deeper understanding of the processing of these last four children and the US and Australia’s refugee resettlement scheme.
